EC Global Encourages Women’s Empowerment

Insurance arm of East Caribbean Financial Holding Company (ECFH), EC Global Insurance gave major support to a significant one-day seminar for women. EC Global was bronze sponsor of Milestone Development’s Women’s Empowerment seminar that was held on June 5th at Sandals Grande Saint Lucian Spa and Beach Resort. Milestone Development is a local company that provides services and training aimed at personal and professional development.

According to Milestone Development’s Lisa Charles, the seminar’s aim was “to celebrate our Caribbean women by giving them one day of valuable information that will inspire and motivate them to develop the potential within themselves”. As the provider of Angel Advantage, an insurance policy specifically for women, EC Global was keen to support this initiative by Milestone Development. The insurance company sees the Women’s Empowerment seminar as a welcome forum for Saint Lucian women to discuss and explore all the issues that impact on their personal and professional lives. Therefore, it was pleased to be able to facilitate this opportunity through its financial contribution as bronze sponsors.

EC Global and its parent company, ECFH, also sponsored the participation of some staff members at the seminar so that they too could benefit from the information shared. Women’s Empowerment featured American celebrity, Star Jones, who is the keynote speaker as well as former Miss Universe, Wendy Fitzwilliam. Topics such as balancing work and family life, positive self image and financial planning were tackled at the seminar.
