Mobile banking allows you to perform banking actions on a cell phone or other mobile device. It is a popular method of banking that fits in well with a busy, technologically oriented lifestyle. It is also referred to as M-banking or SMS banking.
Mobile Banking allows you to access your account on your phone. While your Online Banking account can also be accessed on your phone, the phone must be GPRS or WAP enabled.
To be eligible for Mobile Banking, you must have a
- mobile phone connection with GPRS.
- personal or small business account with Bank of Saint Lucia. Corporations are not eligible for this service.
- online banking account with Bank of Saint Lucia
If you are an existing Online Banking user the process only takes 3 - 5 minutes. However, if you're not you will need to sign up for Online Banking in order to access Mobile Banking therefore the process will take a little longer. Visit any branch of Bank of Bank of Saint Lucia to sign up for Complete Online Banking.
No, the service is free! However, the mobile service provider may have charges for the use of GPRS and the SMS facility which will apply. Contact your mobile service provider for more information on those charges.
Yes, most mobile service providers support Mobile Banking including Digicel and LIME.
Any mobile device that supports WAP or GPRS technology is suitable.
Yes, however they should be from the same mobile service provider.
