Gros-Islet, Saint Lucia, 30th July, 2026 – There was a spirit of joy, reflection and thankfulness inside the National Cultural Centre on Sunday, 26th July, as Bank of Saint Lucia gathered staff, retirees, directors, shareholders and invited guests to pause and give thanks for the past 25 years.
The service formed part of Bank of Saint Lucia’s silver anniversary celebrations and echoed its people first culture. Employees took an active role throughout the morning, leading prayers, scripture readings and other elements of the programme, while the Impulse Band guided the congregation in lively praise and worship. Officiant, Father Stephen Quinlan, delivered a heartfelt message centred on compassion and the importance of serving others with purpose. His exhortation encouraged a warm and uplifting atmosphere, reminding everyone that achievements are best celebrated when met with gratitude.
Managing Director, Rolf Phillips, reflected on Bank of Saint Lucia’s evolution, expressing appreciation to the generations of employees, leaders and partners who have contributed to its success. According to Mr. Phillips, “every milestone reached has strengthened our resolve to deliver dependable financial solutions and exceptional service to customers across the island. Thank you to all employees, past and present, for navigating both opportunities and challenges with resilience and professionalism. The warmth and energy felt throughout this celebration is what carries us as a team and defines who we are.” He noted that the Bank’s success has been and will always be rooted in its people and the communities it serves.
The festivities continued with a sumptuous three course buffet lunch and an open bar, where guests enjoyed good food, music and fellowship. The excitement didn’t end there as several lucky attendees were pleasantly surprised to find gift vouchers tucked beneath their chairs, ending the occasion on a cheerful note.
The Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service was one of several activities planned as part of the Bank of Saint Lucia’s 25th anniversary commemoration, celebrating not only how far the organisation has come, but the many people who continue to make its story possible. While the service celebrated the achievements of the past, it highlighted building upon that legacy and remaining a trusted financial partner. Now serving more than 80,000 customers, and having expanded some services into other regional territories, Bank of Saint Lucia looks ahead with confidence.
